The neck is one of the first places where signs of age start to show.

Neck lift

A neck lift is a combination of procedures to correct the neck. Procedures can include:

• Removing excess skin,
• Removing or tighten the neck muscles,
• Liposuction to remove excess fat

A neck lift can be performed under general or local anaesthesia and the procedure lasts approximately two hours.

The surgeon makes incisions in front and behind the ears and sometimes also under the chin. The skin will be pulled, excess skin and fat is removed and underlying tissue will be corrected. Neck lift surgery is often performed together with a face lift and eyelid surgery.

Recovery after a neck lift

After a neck lift it is recommended to take one or two weeks off work. Even after this period, you will have to avoid heavy lifting and sports for a few weeks.

There will be bruising and swelling in the first days after neck surgery.

Results after a neck lift

Final results are visible within three months.

Chin correction without surgery

If your chin is smallish or you feel it does not fit or suit the rest of your face, it may be enlarged using a filler. This will give you a more beautiful facial contour. Dimples and wrinkles can be treated with Botulinum toxin (muscle relaxant injections). Both treatments are virtually painless. The effects of the Botulinum toxin treatment last between three and four months, the effects of the chin filler last approximately 12 months.
