Home Eyelid lift surgery

Droopy eyelids do not only reduce your field of vision but also make you look older and more tired.
Also skin folds or “fatty hernias”, which form bags under or above the eyes, are signs of aging in the area around the eyes.

During an eyelid lift procedure, which is a cosmetic surgery, skin and fat are removed from the eyelids.

An eyelid lift surgery takes one to two hours, depending on the extent of the surgery and it is normally performed under local anaesthesia.

Upper blepharoplasty surgery uses incisions in the natural creases of the upper eyelids for removal of skin and/or fat. A thin stitch is then used to bring the skin together for a creation of an eyelid crease.

Lower eyelid surgery involves skin incisions directly below the lower eye lashes to remove fat deposits and sagging skin.

Following an eyelid lift procedure, swelling around the incision areas is normal. Ice packs and cold compresses can be used to minimize the swelling.

Your vision can be blurry for several days after the procedure. Make sure to arrange for someone to transport you home after your eyelid surgery.

Sutures will be removed after five to seven days.

Our surgeons keep the scarring to a minimum. And most scars will fade over time and will become invisible for other people.

An eyelid surgery can make your eyes look younger and more alert. The result of eyelid surgery generally lasts for years.
